Oh my lovelies, I'm definitely a black clothes-obsessed person. I can't get enough of my black garments all year-round. With that in mind, I'm sharing today a look that was styled, of course, around a gorgeous and classic long shirtdress. Last month, I showed you a look with another long black dress that I wore to wine country. I've been enjoying that dress so much that I decided to have a similar back-up alternative. My other dress is limited to Spring, Summer and maybe Fall, but for Winter this one will come in handy as well. I can't wait to wear it in Winter with boots and beautiful scarves.
I'm thrilled with the preppy/classic style of long black shirt dresses, in fact, their silhouette does remind me of some of the dresses that Meghan Markle wears to a public events. My love for shirt dresses have given me an appreciation for The Duchess of Sussex's style.
Last Saturday, I wore my dress for the first time to three different places without changing accessories or shoes. The day of this photo-shoot, I wore it for wine country. I also wore it for dinner early and late night for coffee. You have to love outfits that can be worn all day without worrying about feeling overdressed or underdressed. This look certainly made me feel so care-free which is a huge advantage when I'm having an all-day date with my own red-haired Prince.
My first choice when styling this dress was with accessories made of natural summery materials. Yes, I wanted to bring a casual and easy feel to the dress, so I wore laid-back accessories such as a rope belt, a fedora hat and a straw bag. My shoe choice was also light and free, which played harmoniously with my accessories. By the way, these sandals are also new and they came in to replace a similar style I had last year. I had to let them go because they were a tad too wide and they often slid off my feet leaving me with my bare foot on the ground. These ones are more suitable for my feet and definitely much more easier to wear on uneven terrains.
I added to this widget several black shirt dresses that Meghan Markle would definitely approve. These dresses are elegant, easy to wear and extremely versatile:
This photo below was taken at McRitchie Winery and Ciderworks. We had the usual wine tasting, but ended up loving the ciders even more than the wine. Their cider is so delicious and so refreshing, mainly at this time of the year.
Later in the night we enjoyed a walk thorough downtown Winston-Salem after our coffee. My husband felt like taking a couple more photos of my outfit and I, of course, couldn't resist. 😉
THANKS FOR VISITING!
