1930's Style With Animal Print And Sequins

January 8, 2020

Hello my lovelies. I hope you've had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Today, I'm sharing a 1930's-inspired look that was styled around my cheetah skirt and sequins hat. I've always wanted to put together a look with animal prints and sequins that looked classic and lady-like. Well, I finally decided to make the outfit happen, but I carefully styled the pieces in a way that they aren't too close to each other in order to avoid tackiness. Wearing sequins on a hat isn't too usual, however, it's genius if you want to add a touch of glamour to a look and yet keep it classy. As you noticed in this ensemble, the cheetah print wasn't  the only pattern I wore. I also wore alligator print on my belt and a swirl pattern on my lucite bag. You can easily get away with mixing several prints and textures when wear mostly neutral hues.

I love my hat, which is actually a beret, but it can be worn as a flapper-style beanie. I'm also loving my new cheetah skirt because it's like a fun break from the so-coveted leopard print and yet you can get pretty much the same effect in your looks. I like how this silk skirt looks with my Manolo Blahnik boots - they compliment each other very well. Let me not forget to say something about my fabulous cashmere blazer. I can't say enough awesome things about! It's a classic piece that I found last year at a vintage shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan and it has been worn several times since then. See some looks with my blazer herehere and here. I hope you liked my retro-inspired look, which by the way, I wore for a date night with my husband at wine country.

WHAT I WORE:
Blazer: Escada/Skirt: Réalisation Par/Boots: Manolo Blahnik/Belt: Vintage/Beret: Vintage/Bag: Vintage/Gloves: Vintage.

THANKS FOR VISITING! 👜
