In my opinion, black is one of the most flattering colors of the spectrum. I don't know of one person that doesn't look good wearing black. Black is elegant, refined, sophisticated, slimming, forgiving...etc. I could go on and on naming all of its positive characteristics. My favorite attribute of black color is that I never get too complicated to freely play with textures and proportions. This is a quality that I keep in mind when dressing for the holidays.
Wearing all-black (almost all) for the holidays doesn't have to be boring. There are so many ways to bring your black outfit to a totally fun level. As many of us already know, mixing and matching silhouettes and textures; layering with interesting garments and wearing fun accessories is an instant way to make a neutral colored outfit stand out.
The look I'm wearing today is an example that wearing all black doesn't have to be boring. My LBRD (little black robe dress) has a one-of-the-kind shape that screams fun. My dress has unique drapery details and yet, it looks very polished and sophisticated. I decided to style it beautifully with my classic stiletto boots (will also look great with ankle boots) in order to create a balance with its proportions.
I embellished this loungewear-inspired dress with my metallic vintage belt which it has a chic fish scale texture that, besides working as a pop of shine, also coordinated wonderfully with the texture of the dress. Talking about shimmer, I also added a second bling-bling touch by carrying my glittery box clutch.

This comfortable wrap dress comes with a sash, which I actually used as a skinny scarf which looked great next to my snake print chandelier earrings. And last but not least, I discreetly ornated my hair with a leather black bow that was a surprise treat for the ones that admire my look from behind. See? That wasn't a complicated styling and yet, I managed to look fun and party-ready.
