Trending or not, Western boots have always played an important role in my wardrobe. Cowboy boots, besides being the best all-American wardrobe-staple shoe, they are also versatile and universally flattering. If you are a classicist at heart, then you should consider a pair of Western boots. I've noticed that some people like to stay away from this style of shoe because they are afraid to look too costumey or just because they have no idea how to make them relevant.
My outfit for today can be an example of how you can bring your cowboy boots up-to-date or give them a contemporary look. Pairing your Western boots with modern or classic garments such as a baker hat and an urban long coat can totally transform the look of your rugged beauties. You can also create an interesting juxtaposition by styling them with girly prints pieces such as polka-dots or florals.
If you want to inject a polished touch to your western boots team them up with dressy pieces such as blazers, refined coats, feminine midi dresses/skirts or even dress pants. The sky is the limit when styling cowboy boots.
