If you follow me on Instagram you probably already have seen my new hair. Every few years, I try to do a small change to my hair, however, it's always only the haircut. Having very dark hair, the possibilities of dramatic color changes are limited because the risks are always high when trying to do even highlights.
I've always been in love with rich and warm hair colors, but the fear of someone ruining my hair again prevented me from taking the plunge.
A couple months ago someone recommended a local beauty salon that offers Oribe products. I immediately searched for reviews and read only outstanding testimonies. After making up my mind about what kind of changes I wanted for my hair, I decided to schedule an appointment. To make the story short, I not only walked out of the salon with a great haircut but I also had my hair highlighted the way I always dreamed of.
As you can see, I have warm hue highlights that actually made my natural hair look lighter and dimensional. The haircut is a classic straight bob with a little bit of texture at the ends. I can't wait to show you photos of my hair when it's wavy. The highlights make it look terrific and give it a lot of movement.
For my first photoshoot with my new hair, I decided to wear browns and neutrals. Yes, I wanted to celebrate my rich and warm hair hues by wearing similar colors. I opted for the white bag because even though it's in a neutral color, it worked as a pop of color.
I've always received great compliments every time I wear this belt, which came with a pinafore dress that I consigned a while back. The dress I'm wearing is vintage, but my boots are brand new, which I totally love because of the color, style, and comfort.
WHAT I WORE:
Dress: Pendleton/Belt: La Rok/Bag: Mansur Gavriel/Sunglasses: Chanel (vintage)/Boots: Sandro Paris.
THANKS FOR VISITING! 😊
I love your hair! And that belt! Really great!
ReplyDeleteI love how a haircut (or colour) changes my entire persona. And I'm adoring this new look on you, Carelia, such a sassy bob.
ReplyDeletebtw. You totally inspired me to just do it and buy a french basket! I've been half-assedly looking at them for years now, but never found one that I felt was "just right." I'm such a pain in the ass about bags...anyway, I got one with a navy/black long handle. Looking forward to using it farmer's markets and when we vacation this summer. XO
ReplyDeleteFantastic color and cut on you, my dear! You look marvelous!!
ReplyDeleteOh and I love the outfit, so feminine, and lovely with these boots!
