So what do you do when you feel like dressing like a prairie girl but you don't know how to pull off that look in the city? Well, this life is too short for not wearing what you like, therefore, we must find ways to bring our imagination to life and yet make them appropriate for our surroundings.
The day of this photo shoot I was in the mood for wearing something super-feminine. I must confess that all those feelings were triggered by my vintage gingham blouse which I recently found at my local vintage store.
It was a no-brainer that pairing this top with a full denim skirt was the easiest way to come up with a super-feminine look...so I went for it. Now, deciding which shoes to wear was the crucial decision that will prevent this outfit from looking too costumey. I wanted to sport a fun, feminine and yet wearable look.
As you can see, I opted to wear my polished and men-inspired loafers, which gave this look the city chic vibe that it needed. I also put on my shiny gold frame sunnies that obviously were in complete harmony with the hardware and style of my loafers.
My vintage snake bracelet (hey, there are snakes in prairies you know) and my vintage messenger bag were the final touches...just like icing on the cake. There I was, ready for spending a good time in town with my dear hubby.
WHAT I WORE:
Blouse: Vintage/Skirt: H&M (old)/Shoes: Gucci/Bag: Coach (vintage)/Sunglasses: Tom Ford
THANKS FOR VISITING! 😃
