At this point, you probably already realized that I'm into wearing pink with red. Since I rediscovered the color pink, I've been trying different styling ideas with it. Besides loving pink next to black and white, I really love the striking and vibrant effect when paired with red. It's a feminine combo and yet powerful.
The day of this photoshoot I was going to being interviewed by Winston-Salem Monthly paper and photos were also involved. So I decided to wear my favorite trend of the moment which is pink and red. I wanted to have a semi-dressy look but comfortable enough to be able to move around with confidence. And talking about being confident, that's the feeling I get every time I wear my pink peg pants with heels, and today, they looked amazing next to a crisp white pair of pumps. I must say, that my entire outfit was put it together with pieces that I truly love.
The blouse I'm wearing is a new acquisition to my wardrobe and maybe you've noticed that I really enjoy wearing silk button-down shirts which all happen to be made by the same brand. They are always winner pieces in my wardrobe because they're very easy to style with everything else I own.
And, an outfit can't be complete without a touch of vintage, old or thrift, such as my sunglasses, scarf, bag and denim jacket. I can't say enough the importance of these pre-loved items in my wardrobe. They are just the perfect items to personalize any fashion tendency in order to prevent a cookie-cutter style.
WHAT I WORE:
Shirt: Equipment/Pants: Topshop/Denim Jacket: Levi's (vintage)/Scarf: Thrifted/Sunglasses: Givenchy (vintage)/Bag: Vintage/Shoes: Gianvito Rossi.
