This outfit was created after debating whether I wanted to wear a leopard print or stripes to spice up a gloomy winter day. At first, I styled my coat with a black beanie and gray scarf. I'm usually ok with an all-neutral colored outfit, but for this particular occasion, that combination was not making me smile.
As many of you know, I am a very emotional dresser, which means, what I love today, might not be my cup of tea tomorrow. I immediately removed my beanie and scarf and replaced them with a striped and colorful matching set that I had since early 90's. I guess you can call it vintage, right? I love this set because the stripes and colors remind me of a candy cane and also because it has a sporty vibe. The combo made me happy, but maybe it was a bit too much pairing all the colorful stripes with the snow leopard print, so I removed my coat and replaced it with a solid color choice. But that combo was not making me happy either, so I put back on my snow leopard print coat and I start to smiling again. Regardless of the pattern bonanza going on, I was very satisfied with my look, because all those colors and prints together were matching my current mood and brighten up my day. As soon I walked out the bedroom, my husband gave me a sweet compliment about my outfit and that made me smile even more.
I love this photo because it was not planned. I was recording a video for my Instastories then my husband said, "Hurry up, honey! We are burning daylight" while he positioned himself low to the ground (to make me look taller). I turned my phone toward him without knowing that he was already snapping photos. My husband really goes beyond with patient in every photo-shoot. I'm not the easiest (goofy) person to work with, but he always manages to get the job done. Gotta love my guy.
