White is a very important shade in my wardrobe, therefore, I'm always looking for ways to style it all year round.
Today, I decided to layer over a white turtleneck and white cropped jeans. I wanted to create a fun layered look with a 70's vibe.
Layering and experimenting with proportions are usually a no-no for petite gals, however, my adventurous side, once again, took control of my decision making.
I love how this waistcoat brought a separation between the white garments. I also love all the volume around my hips created by the belt and how my jeans are matching all the flared proportions.
WHAT I WORE:
Waistcoat: c/o by Fortlily (vintage). Similar/Coat: Vintage. Similar/Platforms: Kurt Geiger/Flared jeans: NYDJ. Similar/White turtleneck. Land's End/Chain belt: Vintage. Similar/Earrings: Michael Kors. Similar/Watch: Bulova: Similar/Bag: Mansur Gavriel/Sunglasses: Kate Spade. Similar.
Dainty heels or flats weren't the appropriate shoes to match the edginess and proportions of this look. I had to wear a pair of edgy and bold shoes that wouldn't go unnoticed in between all this volume.

As you can see, I kept my accessories to a minimum. I'm loving the fact that I can add fun to my looks by being playful with my clothes without the need of too many accessories. I don't consider my style minimalist at all, however, I've learned through trial and error that when it comes to accessories, less is more.
THANKS FOR VISITING! 😉

Yes, I'm petite. I'm 5'4 to be exact, however, I do have long legs for being a petite gal. I do have a short torso, though 😂
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like my layering 😀
