When I think about throwing on a sweatshirt, jeans and socks combo my intentions are obviously to dress down. It sounds like a perfect combination for running errands or even lounging around the house, mainly when it's worn with a pair of sneakers.
Last weekend, I decided to wear this comfortable combo, but for a completely different purpose. To make this combo appropriate for a night out, I paired it with more dressy garments.
First, I opted to give my no-show socks a moment of show time by wearing it with my cap-toe slingbacks, which by the way, have a perfect metallic color that contributed to making this look a bit more dressy.
I was not in the mood for wearing too much jewelry, so, instead of wearing a necklace, I decided to wear a metallic shirt. I left the collar peeking out in order to create a similar dressy effect that often is achieved with a statement necklace.
And last but not least, a snow leopard printed coat (so Kate Moss) that glued all these pieces together.
WHAT I WORE:
Sweatshirt: Gildan /Metallic shirt: Elizabeth & James. Similar/Leopard coat: zara. Similar/Jeans: Levi's 505 (vintage 1960's). Similar/Sunglasses: Chanel (vintage). Similar/Bag: Kate Spade. Similar/Slingback pumps: Chanel (80's) Similar.
MORE LEOPARD COATS:
By the way, I've to confess that seeing these photos makes me a bit sad because the sunglasses that I'm wearing are no longer in my possession. They were one of my favorite vintage finds...ever! I accidentally left them or dropped them somewhere this past Saturday (too much to drink 😁). I know that whoever found them will have a great pair of Chanel shades, along with a terrific Kate Spade green sunglasses case. And, by the way, I also lost a nice pair of black leather gloves. Yes, I lost all that in one night. Shame on me!
THANKS FOR VISITING! 😊
I love this entire look! The jacket! The metallic shirt! And I'm so jealous of that vintage fade on your jeans! They're sooo perfect. They're everything I'm looking for! I do love the look of socks and heels, something I've never tried...did you find that you slipped in your shoes much?

Thanks! I was very happy when I found these jeans. As you said, they are perfect. By the way, so far so good wearing socks with open heels. I don't have problems with my feet slipping off my shoes, but maybe is because the cotton in the fabric helps with the grip. ;-)
