As I said several times before, I'm an emotional dresser, therefore, whatever rocks my boat today, might not be my cup of tea tomorrow. However, nowadays when I wear vintage in general and regardless of my emotions, I try to maintain the same styling pattern.
I'm not an expert about vintage denim, but with trial and error I have learned how to make it work for me.
Wearing vintage without looking like I'm wearing a costume is actually my only concern nowadays. I've learned the hard way, that too much vintage of the same era can actually ruin a look and this apply with denim as well.

One of the easiest ways to freshen up vintage denim is by wearing them with contemporary garments.
I'm not against wearing vintage with vintage; I do this often, however mixing and matching vintage from different eras with new trends is actually my favorite styling.
In this opportunity, I wore a colorful serpent printed blouse (recent purchase) and fun brogues with a 1970's Lee skirt. I wore classic and modern accessories that added a touch of freshness to the overall look.
