We all probably have a pair of jeans that isn't getting enough love, but for some reason we are not ready to get rid of them. In my case and unfortunately, I have more than one pair, but I finally made the decision to let them go, except one black pair. These long Bermudas were once a pair of cropped, wide-leg flared jeans...yes, the combo sounds a bit scary, but sometimes wearable when paired with the right pieces. However, that wasn't good enough for me. Therefore, I needed to either let them go or transform them into something else.
SHOP THE LOOK:
This is not my first DIY project with jeans and ever since the first time, I learned to start making them into long Bermuda shorts. If I ever changed my mind, I could still decrease the length. I must confess that despite my height (5'4), I'm ok wearing shorts that cover my knees, as long I wear them with heels. I really like the boyish look of these pants after being their transformation.
Today, I decided to wear them with a simple white tee and straw accessories. I usually wear my Bermuda shorts with nude heels to make the legs appear longer, but this time, I felt gutsy, and I wore them with black wedges. I was in the mood for wearing super comfortable shoes but with some type of heel.
WHAT I WORE:
Jeans made into Bermuda: Zara. Similar/T-shirt: Barney's New York/Espadrilles: Castañer. Similar/Sunglasses: Chanel (vintage). Similar/Bag: Handmade in Italy. Similar/Gold pendant: Antique. Similar.
After running all day around town doing errands, I realized this outfit could be so appropriate touring a new town. The entire look is comfortable and practical enough to get to all the places you want to be.
