One of my favorite trends back in the 90's was the denim, but mainly the skirts. In fact, I still wear them (Yes, my miniskirts too) but with contemporary pieces. The denim skirt is one of those trends that has become a staple in my wardrobe. From time to time, I like to get an updated style, even though they look almost the same as they did in the 90's. I own pencil skirts in different lengths and washes, since they're so practical and easy to style, mainly when I don't have much time to think of what to wear. I wear my denim skirts with everything from sneakers to stilettos, however, I tend to wear the pencil styles with high heels in order to avoid a stumpy look.
Yesterday was my one month wedding anniversary, so I thought it was the perfect occasion to wear my wedding shoes again. When I bought my wedding shoes, I was not thinking of wearing them only on my wedding day, I was also considering to wear them any other day in the future.
One way to elevate my denim skirts besides wearing them with heels is by pairing them with statement tops. See more looks here, here, and here.
