Bohemian Rhapsody My Way
May 29, 2016 Old Salem Museums & Gardens, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, USA
Spring time is almost over, and so is the opportunity for layering. The spring mornings in North Carolina can sometimes be a little chilly. Therefore, a lightly layered outfit seems to be the most appropriate. The day of this photoshoot, I woke up craving a bohemian style that wouldn't interfere with my errands. I recently was gifted with this beautiful fringed poncho piece with such an eclectic feel that reminded of the bohemian rhapsody styles that we have seen lately on runways. The print, the colors, the flowy fabric and of course the fringe, are the details that screamed the word FUN, therefore, it was a perfect piece for me.
In order to style this poncho in a realistic and wearable way, I paired it with a simple jumpsuit (also worn here) that made a perfect harmony due to its color and style. As most of you know, I love to add vintage pieces to most of my looks, just to make them more personal and unique. I'm sure you can guess what pieces are vintage in this ensemble.
Yes, I wore flats and only because they looked cute matching the belt; the snake-skin texture was just right for a bohemian look, and they added the modern touch that my outfit needed. Good enough reasons, right?
Now, the drawback of this look, was when the time to go to the ladies room approached me...lol. I just made sure that I use a bathroom with a hook on the door to hang almost my entire outfit. Hey, no pain, no style.
