Sporty Nautical For Memorial Day

The day of remembrance for those that served in the United States armed forces is right around the corner. I'm not originally from this country, however, I've lived here for almost 20 years, therefore, I'm also very thankful for all the men and women that have paid the ultimate price to ensure the freedom that my family and I are so privileged to enjoy. 

As many of you know, besides loving bohemian looks, I also love anything that had to do with a nautical theme. Red, white and blue are obviously the colors that represent a nautical style and also the United Sates flag, hence the reason why I decided to wear a nautical look for my Memorial Day blog post.

I chose to wear my now famous Converse retro sneakers in order have a freedom of movement while spending a day off from work and enjoying our downtown new Artivity on the Green park. We also had a couple drinks in order to celebrate with a toast to one of my outfits appearing in the June print issue of People Style Watch magazine. 

By the way, I want to give  thanks once again, to the blogs and websites that had interviewed me or had one of my outfits featured in your blog posts or magazines pages. It's always a great honor for me to see my style inspiring others.

El día de recordar a los que sirvieron en las fuerzas armadas de Estados Unidos está a la vuelta de la esquina. Yo no soy originaria de este país, sin embargo, he vivido aquí durante casi 20 años, por lo tanto, también estoy muy agradecida por todos los hombres y mujeres que han pagado el precio más alto para garantizar la libertad que mi familia y yo somos tan privilegiados de disfrutar.

Como muchos de ustedes saben, además de encantarme los looks bohemios, también me fascina todo lo que tenía que ver con el estilo náutico. Rojo, blanco y azul son, obviamente, los colores que representan un estilo náutico y también los colores que representan la bandera de Estados Unidos y por esa razón me decidí poner un estilo náutico para mi entrada del Memorial Day.

En esta ocasión me decidí poner mis tenis retro de Converse con el fin de sentirme mas libre con mis movimientos mientras disfruto mi día libre y visito un parquecito nuevo llamado Artivity on the Green. Después en la tarde tuvimos un par de bebidas para celebrar con un brindis la aparición de unos de mis looks en la edición impresa de junio de la revista People Style Watch.

Por cierto, quiero agradecer una vez más, a los blogs y sitios web que me había entrevistado o han tenido uno de mis looks en sus blogs o en las páginas de sus revistas. Siempre será un gran honor para mí ver que mi estilo esta inspirando a otros.
