Great Lengths : Tie-Dye Maxi Dress and Midi Trench Coat

I crave for maxi dresses mostly around spring or summer time, however, I couldn't wait until spring in order to wear this sweet tie-dyed maxi dress. Some people consider tie-dye as very hippie and I can understand if isn't everyone's cup of tea. I personally don't mind tie-dye when is done in denim or with neutral contrasts like the one in this dress. 

At first, I tried this dress with my biker black jacket, it looked ok, but the dress was drawing too much of the attention (maybe great for warmer seasons), because the jacket was short and most of the dress was exposed. For this time of the year, I prefer a more discreet and elongated effect in a tie-die dress, therefore, I decided to go my midi olive trench. I love how maxi and midi lengths look together in this look and I appreciate how the dress still remains obvious, but isn't overwhelming.

A mi me apetecen los vestidos maxi principalmente alrededor de la primavera o el verano, sin embargo, no podía esperar hasta la primavera para poder llevar este vestido maxi teñido. Muchas personas consideran este tipo de teńido muy loco o jipi y puedo entender que no es del agrado de todos. A mi  personalmente me gusta cuando viene en contrastes tranquilos o neutrales como en este vestido. 

Al principio, me probé este vestido con mi chaqueta negra de moto, se miraba bien, pero lo único que no me parecía es que el vestido estaba atrayendo mucha atención, debido a que la chaqueta era corto y se podía ver una gran cantidad del vestido. Para esta época del año, yo prefiero darle un toque mas discreto y alargado, por lo tanto, opté por mi trench largo. Me encanta como se ve maxi y midi juntos y también me gusta como el vestido permanece evidente, pero no tan bullicioso.

Brrrrr…now the dress is obvious ;-)
