Color-blocking on a Warm Winter Day

A day like today I was giving birth to my oldest son in Honduras. I remember it was a very warm day and I hardly could walk due all that weight I gained during my pregnancy ;-). I was so scared and yet so excited for bringing a new life to this world. My son is now a man, yes I can proudly say I'm the mother of an all-grown-up man and I am also thankful for his life and all of his achievements.

 Today, the weather was his first birthday gift since it felt like spring time, so dressing up with happy colors was a pretty darn good idea, so I decided to color-block with a bright yellow, teal and black.

En un día como hoy yo estaba a dando luz a mi hijo mayor en Honduras. Recuerdo muy bien que era un día muy cálido y casi ni podía caminar debido a toda las libritas extras que gane durante mi embarazo ;-). Parece que fue ayer cuando el temor y la alegría me acompañaron en los momentos de su bienvenida. Pero hoy, mi retoño es un hombre completo, si yo estoy orgullosa de ser la madre de un muchacho hecho y derecho y también estoy agradecida por su vida y sus logros.

Hoy, las temperaturas del tiempo fueron las primeras en darle su regalo de cumpleaños con un día calientito, tanto que se sintió como un día de primavera. Así que para la ocasión de hoy, me decidí llevar un conjunto colorido y con mucho contraste.
