I love menswear inspired looks (go here, here or here for some of my boyish looks) and for my youngest son's birthday (yeah, both of my sons birthdays were in the same week) I decided to sport a look with a bow tie (borrowed from their closet). My second son is more in to classic and traditional fashion, therefore every time I go out with him I dress up playful. Funny, but it seems like he appreciates my spontaneous sense of style, which is the opposite of what he likes for himself.
Early that day, I needed to take care some business, so I wanted to dress casual yet appropriate for his birthday dinner later in the night. Denim over denim is pretty much my running errands uniform and by adding a preppy polka dots blazer (also worn here) and heels, I believe I transformed this look from being too casual to semi-casual. The bow tie came as the masculine and playful touch, which actually was my favorite piece from this look.
Me encanta los estilos masculinos (visita aquí, aquí o aquí para ver algunos de mis estilos) y para el cumpleaños de mi hijo menor (si, los dos cumplen años la misma semana) me decidí llevar un estilo con un corbatín(del armario de ellos). A mi hijo menor le gusta mas la moda con estilo tradicional o clásica y cada vez que salgo con él me gusta darle un toque juguetón a mi look. Lo chistoso es que parece que el aprecia más mi estilo espontáneo, el cual es completamente opuesto a lo que le gusta para el.
Temprano en el día, tuve que ir hacer unos negocios y otros mandados personales, por lo cual la mayoría de veces los vaqueros son los mas cómodos de llevar. Considerando que teníamos que celebrar su cumpleaños en la noche, me decidí ponerme un blazer de bolitas y tacones para darle a mi look un aire mas formal y presentable. El corbatín fue el detalle masculino y juguetón y que la verdad fue mi toque preferido en este look.
For the ladies that emailed me asking about my bag, I'm happy to show you a picture of what I can fit in it. I can take my Macbook pro 13"(case by Kate Spade as well), large makeup bag, wallet, phone and many other small goodies (sunglasses with case, keys, etc.) in the center compartment. The name of the bag is Charlotte Street Milles, but it's sold out in most places online. You can always check for Kate Spade's newer versions.
