Camel-Light Brown Wool Coat

For the past couple years the idea of acquiring a camel classic wool coat has been in my mind, but I wasn't exactly sure what style would compliment the rest of my cold weather clothes. For that reason, I have been saving some pictures of camel or light brown coats from street style sites in order to get an idea of what style I needed.
I finally took the decision to go for a classic wool 1950's or early 1960's swing style. I have coats with other traditional styles, but I don't own a swing wool long coat that could bring the lady-like look to my Fall and Winter outfits.

So, I have been keeping an eye on the Internet vintage shops (Ebay) and my local vintage shops as well. Sure enough, last week while browsing through one of my local vintage stores, I found a wonderful 1960's swing coat by Bill Blass for Maurice Rentner in mint condition for only $35.00. The next thing I knew it was on its way to the dry-cleaner to fresh up then be part of my small cold weather wardrobe.
It is not exactly cold enough to wear this coat right now, but later in the year I'll post pictures of the coat in an outfit. I am posting a picture of the coat by itself and believe me, these pictures does not give them justice...the craftsmanship on this piece is flawless. I am also sharing a few pictures from the ones I have been saving for inspiration of different types of camel or light brown wool coats. Who knows...you might get inspired as well ;-)


Desde hace un par de años he estado pensando en adquirir un abrigo de lana color de camello, pero no he estado segura del estilo que funcionará con el resto de mi ropa para el tiempo frío. Por esa razón yo he estado guardando fotos de abrigos de lana de varios estilos para decidirme cual es el que necesito.
Finalmente me decidí por un estilo clásico de la era de los 50's o 60's. Yo tengo abrigos de lana con otros estilos, pero no tengo uno que brinde ese aire de dama a mis conjuntos del invierno.

He estado buscando en tiendas de antiguedades en el internet (Ebay) y en mi ciudad, y de repente la semana pasada encontré un abrigo de los 60's del diseñador Bill Blass por Maurice Rentner en un estado impecable. Pero lo mejor de todo fué el precio, solo $35.00 por este atuendo.
Por los momentos el clima no esta tan frío y no lo he usado, pero aquí bajé una foto para mostraserlos pero luego en este otoño les ensenaré en un conjunto completo. Desafortunadamente estas fotos no le dan justicia a este abrigo, es mucho más bonito y la mano de obra se nota mucho mejor en vida real. Tambien les muestro unas de las fotos de estilo callejero con abrigos de lana de este color camello.
