Kaftans are in my blood!! I really mean it. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons for wearing kaftans, but that doesn't mean I will not wear them in a colder season. I just layer them accordingly and I am able to stay stylish and warm.
This week we visited Lake Lure (small lake) and Chimney Rock Park in NC. It is a very neat area and I adore the view of the mountains from the small lake. It reminds me The Yojoa Lake in Honduras.
The day of our trip it was another hot day, but we all know that summer in the mountains it feels much better than the coast or the city. Since I grew up in a tropical country, I tend to visit areas that are different from what I am used to, and in most cases is the countryside.
The day of our trip, I decided to wear something comfortable and breezy; I wore my white vintage embroidered kaftan.

¡¡Los caftanes corren por mi sangre!! en serio. Las temporadas favoritas para usarlos son en la primavera y el verano, pero eso no significa que no los uso en las temporadas frías. Vistiendolos con capas de atuendos calientitos y gruesos, se pueden usar con estilo en el invierno.

Ese día del viaje fue muy cálido, y todos sabemos que el verano se tolera mejor en la montaña que en la ciudad o la playa. Yo crecí en un país de clima tropical y siempre busco por lugares opuestos a lo que yo estoy acostumbrada, en la mayoría de los casos las zonas pueblerinas o afuera de la ciudad.
El día del paseo, decidí vestirme con algo confortable y suelto.
Espero que todos hayan tenido un fin de semana macanudo.
