Got a Trench? November Rain is Here.

Well, November's only just started and we've already experienced 48 hours of non-stop rain here in the Carolinas. I personally don't mind rain and I guess it's because I have the opportunity to wear trench coats like this classic midi-style which, in my opinion, is "a must have". I know that you've probably seen it before (click here for more looks) styled with jeans, dresses and even sweat pants, however, today I decided to wear it with a midi plaid skirt. Luckily, the skirt is shorter than the coat, so the proportions were just right. I usually like to wear something bright on rainy gray days, but this time I styled almost my entire rainy look with neutral colors. The boots are the only semi-bright touch and lips, of course.


Bueno, el mes de Noviembre no se tardó mucho en mandarnos las lluvias, tanto que no han parado por casi dos días. A mi personalmente me encanta la lluvia, porque con ella viene la oportunidad de ponerme mis abrigos gabardina. Yo se que ustedes ya me han visto con este abrigo verde en este blog (apacha aquí para ver mas mudadas) el cual me lo he puesto con pantalones de lona, vestidos y hasta con pantalones deportivos. Hoy me decidí ponérmelo con una falda midi de los años 70s, que por cierto es precisamente un poco mas corta que el abrigo, por lo tanto, proporcionalmente adecuada.
Usualmente, me gusta ponerme atuendos de color brillante cuando el tiempo esta gris y lluvioso, sin embargo en esta ocasión, mi mudada estuvo compuesta de atuendos en color neutro. Mis botines y mis labios obviamente fueron los únicos detalles con un poco de color.

I think by now you've noticed my lapel bar. It was a random touch, however despite being so small, several people noticed it and gave me compliments. People usually wear it coats or blazers lapels, however, I decided to pin it in my collar like traditional collar pin.

Yo creo que ya notaron mi prendedor de solapa. Fue un toque de ultima hora que a pesar de ser tan pequeño, mucha gente lo noto y le dieron piropos. Este prendedor de barra usualmente se usa sobre la solapa de las chaquetas o blazers, pero yo como atrevida me lo puse en el cuello de mi camisa.

One more little detail...this time, instead of hiding my socks, I let them peek out of my booties. I think they add a playful touch to this kind of librarian look.

Un detalle mas...esta vez envés de esconder mis calcetines adentro de mis botines, los deje un poco afuera para que le dieran un toque juguetón a esta mudada de estilo Bibliotecaria.
