Tropical Print Midi Skirt and High Top Sneakers

One of the things that I love about tropical print pieces is that, if I'm creative enough, I can wear them even in cold months of the year. For example, this past December, In order to give a brighter touch to a wintery look, I wore this skirt accompanied with cold-weather clothing and accessories.

This midi skirt is probably one of my favorite vintage skirts (reminds me of this Stella Jeans Haiti-inspired village print skirt and the dress) and so are these high top sneakers, however, I never had the opportunity to pair them together, until last week. Maybe this outfit look a little too matchy-matchy, but I didn't care, because I'm a huge fan of mixed printed looks that are color coordinated in a fun way.

Una de las cosas que me gusta mucho acerca de los atuendos con estampados tropicales es que, si soy lo suficientemente creativa, puedo llevarlos incluso en los meses fríos. Por ejemplo, el Diciembre pasado, con el fin de dar un toque brillante a un look invernal, me puse esta falda acompañada con atuendos y accesorios para el clima frío.

Esta falda midi es probablemente una de mis faldas favoritas encontrada en una tienda de época (me recuerda esta falda de Stella Jeans con un estampado Haitiano y este vestido) y también lo son estas zapatillas deportivas de corte alto, sin embargo, hasta la semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de ponérmelas juntas. Tal vez este conjunto parece un poco matchy-matchy, pero no me importa, porque yo soy una gran fanática de los looks con estampados y colores coordinados.
