A velvet blazer isn't definitely a daily wear type of garment, however when I feel like wearing something a little different and yet distinctive, I can always reach for this smooth operator. In order to showcase some contrasting textures and patterns, I decided to wear my very favorite gingham shirt, a pair of worn out boyfriend jeans and classic suede pumps.
I had this post already scheduled to go live yesterday, but I stopped and waited because what happened to one of our dearest dogs. Yesterday, late in the evening, we had to take Adobe to the veterinarian and unfortunately the inevitable had to happen. He was almost 16 years old and he was not feeling quiet himself anymore for the past few weeks. He was loved very deeply by all of us and he had a wonderful, mischievous life. This is our last picture together, and I wanted it to be a happy one, because he had a happy life and I want to remember him as happy dog.
I want to thanks to the Human Society for giving people like me and you the chance to adopt pets in need, so they can have a second chance like Adobe did.
RIP, Adobe.

Oh Carelia! I'm so deeply sorry for your loss of Adobe! Truly, the loss of a four legged love, regardless of age or health, is heart wrenching. Consider yourself cyber hugged! I'm certain he's now flying on the wings of an angel. Looking at that photo of Adobe with you...I can see all of his love and appreciation for everything you've done for him. What an incredible, loving and wise soul that boy has! He will continue to guide you Carelia, from the heavens. God Bless!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Sue for your kind words! He was a dog with a sweet and yet a very strong personality, so he will be missed so much in our home. His lifetime partner Elvis also misses him already, but we all know Adobe had a great life with us and we are happy for that. Thanks Sue again for your sweet comment.

Gracias Iván! Me alegra que te gusten.
DeleteSo sorry about Adobe, Carelia, it must be heartbreaking... Are you going to adopt another puppy when it's a good time?
ReplyDeleteThe blazer is wonderful - love the color and it seems like a beautiful texture too, just perfect for a cool Fall day! xxx
Thanks so much Natalia! It's heartbreaking, but it helps to think about the wonderful time he had while he was with us all these years. We still have Elvis, another 15 years old dog that we still have to take care and love. So, for right now, we are not planning to adopt another one.
DeleteI'm so sorry for your loss Carelia. Dogs have been some my loyalest and truest friends. I'm so glad to hear you are a dog person too:)
